Heartland Mark Rothko children art class
The China lake Museum will be hosting an art class based on Mark Rothko on August 26th. Mark Rothko is associated with the abstract movement and painted field of colors intended to invoke emotions in the viewer.

Capt. Victor Glover Astronaut event!
The China lake Museum will have a booth at the Capt. Victor Glover astronaut event at the Kerr McGee Community Center on August 26th!
Feel free to drop by after the speech to check out our flight simulators and get some glowsticks!
Hokusai Adult Art Class
On September 3rd the China Lake Museum will be hosting the next adult art class on Hokusai! Participants will be given a brief overview of the artist before being let loose to create art as they please.

Heartland Van Gogh Magnet Tiles
On September 9th, the China lake Museum will be hosting a special art class where students will create art on magnet tiles to then take home!
All materials for the class will be provided by the museum; all you need to bring is your creativity! We hope to see you there!
China Lake Museum Lego Challenge
The China Lake Museum will be hosting its next Lego Challenge on September 12th with the theme for this challenge being space!
Legos will be provided for participants who will compete to create the best space Lego creation!
Heartland Introduction to Rocket Science
On September 16th, the China Lake Museum will be hosting an Introduction to Rocket Science class!
This class aims to educate students of the inner working of rockets and give them some hands-on experience with the characteristic being rocket flight! Students will use an air compressor to launch a rocket as well as a simulator for a more realistic experience!
Paul Klee Children's Art Class
On September 19th, the China Lake Museum will be hosting an art class based on Paul Klee! Paul Klee was a unique artist from the late 1800s who tried and used multiple different art styles throughout his career.
Students will be given a brief overview of Paul Klee’s works and accomplishments during his life to hopefully inspire them in their own artwork.

Annual Member meeting this September 24th
The China lake Museum will be having own Annual Members Meeting this September 24th! The meeting will include a light lunch as well as an update on the Museum’s current activities!
Yayoi Kusama Children's Art Class
On October 3rd, the China Lake Museum will be hosting an art class on Yayoi Kusama! Kusama is a unique artist who contributed to the “avant-garde” movement and challenged the status-quo.
Materials for the class will be provided by the China Lake Museum! All we ask is that students come to class ready to create!
Heartland Edvard Munch Art Class
On October 14th the China Lake Museum will host a Heartland art class about Edvard Munch! A Norwegian artist who focused his works on symbolism and expressionism, seeking to evoke feelings and ideas in the viewer through his art.
The Museum will provide all materials necessary for the class; students only need to bring their creativity! We Hope to see you there!

On October 23rd, the China Lake Museum will be having a special Rummage Sale! All proceeds will go towards our mission to honor the past and continue educating today!

Children's Paul Klee Heartland Art Class
On July 29th the China lake Museum will host a Children’s Paul Klee art class aimed for students from 4 -18 years old.
Paul Klee was a very particularly individualistic artist, not conforming easily to any particular school of art but rather creating his own blend of styles. We hope to see you there!

On June 27th the China Lake Museum will be hosting a new Lego challenge class!
Students will learn about the history of the famous building blocks then be encouraged to let imagination take control and build to their hearts desire! We hope to see you there!
